Canada Day
ByAnyone who has followed this blog for a few years knows that it’s tradition for Tito and I to load up the car with camera gear and go road tripping for Canada Day Weekend. This year, we are driving to Ottawa to watch the fireworks off Parliament Hill and then driving into Old Quebec City for a little overdue R&R.
Every year I try to show off a selection of my favourite photography from this gorgeous country that I am so blessed to live in. This year, I have chosen to show off the shots that I used for our early colourways – because it was off these photos that The Blue Brick was built and inspired. Enjoy!

Thank you for the gorgeous trip down some of my own memory lanes! Your eye for the beauty around you is astounding. Many of us never see the beauty right in front of us until someone like you comes along and does this.
Enjoy your well earned break. I’m sure the two of you will be coming back with more gorgeous shots and colourways!

I am always amazed at how perfectly you mirror the colors from the pictures in the yarn. You have an amazing talent!

The photos are superb just as are the matchings of those colors for the yarns. And your country is very beautiful. Have been several places in CAN and have never been disappointed! Have a lovely holiday!

Hope you’ll have a nice trip! If you pass by the Trois-Rivieres/Shawinigan area, I can show you guys around! :)

These are so lovely. Would that I could see these in real life. ( and that the yarns were still available).

Oh my goodness… This I confess is my first Canada Day reading your blog faithfully. WOW! I too am in Canada (Ontario to be exact!) & I feel Soo much love for my country. I miss the freedom of road trips & aspire to take them one day again, with my kids. For now BAM! Thank you for the trip!
