Welcome to the first of 5 blog posts that feature the projects and skills in my new book – Resin Jewelry, available for purchase Wednesday Sept 18th! To celebrate, I’m giving away 2 copies of the book on Wednesday. Entering your name is simple–just leave a comment on this post, or any of the next 4, telling me what you’d love to do with resin!

Resin Jewelry Project 1

This project is a great primer for your first resin piece. It covers all the basics – mixing, pouring, clean up, and how to get that perfect glassy finish. Even if you stop here (not that you would!), it’s such an amazing, versatile skill that you can make all these projects using just this one technique:

Resin Jewelry

What would you love to try? Leave me a comment!

I’m really excited about your book! I would love to be able to make jewelry with feathers. Even mundane feathers like turkey feathers have such beautiful patterns and colors.

These look lovely. I would love to try it. I have a white turquoise stone that I have always wanted to make something out of — I just can’t figure out how to get a mount/jewelry setting for it.

I love the jewelry. It is so elegant. I admire the little things can be so beautiful. I am not sure maybe with herbs, grains to start and from there let myself create more ideas. Your book would be my inspiration. I would love to have it and if I won it could you sign it for me. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I wondered if resin could be used to create numbers–like 60. I wanted to create it to become a necklace closure for my friend’s 60th birthday party

I love the look of the jewelry that you make. I have not tried resin yet but would love to. I was unable to find jewelry pendents like you show, they are so elegant. I would also like to be able to purchase your book.

I love your work so beautiful! I am making jewelry as I can on SS Disability budget. Would love to be blessed with your book. I use bought glass, and bezels. I have a metal cross I have had for yrs. to make for Grandson who is now almost 18. He said, grandma can you make a necklace for me w-this cross? It’s metal with scriptures on both sides. I figured has to be set in resin so you can read both sides. Would love to learn how to do that and my Panama Designs in them, flowers. Thks blessings!

    Help!
I’m trying to attach a laminated poem to a piece of resin/acrylic to make a paperweight. What adhesive do I use?
Too late to make it from scratch.

    Thanks!

This is just what I need!. Your pieces are lovely. I’m so glad I found this post I need a book to help me through my craft. A book I can refer back to would be so helpful. I like to make jewelry but I stick to the very very basics. There is a lot on Utube and from resin companies but it’s mostly bits and pieces. Nothing to follow from beginning to end.
