First off, thank you to everyone who visited our new online store and helped make opening day a success, we couldn’t have been happier. I promise more shawl pins are on the way, and hoping to do an update on Sunday evening :) As you can see, we’ve been quite busy. Today is a knitting-focused…

Sometimes a pattern takes an unexpected turn on you. After ‘Sandy’, which was beautiful but complex, I really needed a turn-your-brain-off knit. I was also feeling super inspired by a skein of Cosmic Blue Label that Tanis had sent me for her colour shifting scarf. It looked so fun and glittery to knit with, and…

Looks like “I’d Rather be Cruising” will be ready for release Tuesday morning :) What’s better than the easiest shawl ever? A shawl that comes in both 1 and 2-skein versions. Like choose your own adventure books, except prettier.

Proper FO shots, (and the pattern!) for Sandy are coming shorty, but I had to show off the final, blocked piece. It blocked out to a delightful 62″ x 12.5″ with about 5g (<23 yards) of yarn left over. I can’t wait to get it off the blocking wires for a shoot!

I’ve been working on a new design for a few weeks now, and I think I’ve finally nailed it. Designing is a long process, with countless test knits, chart updates, and fiber tests, but it’s also very gratifying when you finally get there. This is my latest piece, designed to be knit both as a shawl…
