Free Pattern – Tito

My darling hubby, Tito, is the other half of The Blue Brick, and he loves a good slouch hat, so this one is for him :) IMG_9107

Who doesn’t love a good slouch hat? Sure, it’s 30 million degrees in Toronto right now, but I’m already thinking of comfy autumn staples. This hat is an easy, one-size-fits-all, unisex weekend knit, perfect for showing off ombré!

This hat uses just one skein of The Blue Brick Escarpment DK, and is a super simple, unisex, weekend knit with just one quirky detail to keep it interesting; Estonian (or lateral) braids. Full directions are included in the pattern, and it’s really easy and fun once you get the hang of it.

Did I mention that the pattern is FREE? =D Ravelry page here!

Hi Karen, We had this available for quite a long time. After a lengthy discussion with another pattern designer, we made the tough call to charge for our patterns as free patterns are devaluing their work. I’m sorry you didn’t catch it when it was available for free, but it’s still a reasonable price.

I just wanted to read the pattern to see how you made what looks like a knit stitch on its side, at the end of the ribbing and again about an inch up. Since I can’t see the pattern without buying it, would you be willing to explain how that one row is knit? Appreciate it.
